Fifth Grade Camp
Arbor Heights - Fifth Grade Camp 2011
Warm Beach Camp Outdoor Education
Conveniently located only one hour north from Seattle, Warm Beach Camp is the Northwest's premier camp, conference, and retreat facility. Unmatched natural beauty, friendly personal service, great home-style meals, exciting recreation, and a variety of comfortable lodging and meeting facilities, combine to make Warm Beach the most complete facility of its kind in the Northwest. The
is the housing that will be used by Arbor Heights.
Warm Beach Camp is located on Port Susan Bay, which is a relatively shallow estuary. The Stillaguamish River empties in the bay about a mile north of the camp. The students will accumulate information about the estuary by studying the water temperature, salinity, depth of the water and types of soils. With that information we look at the habitat and organism that flourish in the unique area. This class can be taught using canoes or walking out to the tidelands. If you prefer to walk out we encourage you to wear boots or disposable shoes.
